This was shot at the Kubota Japanese Gardens in South Seattle. This garden at 20 some acres is 7 times larger than the one I have previously photographed. It’s not a classic Japanese garden being instead a legacy from an immigrant Japanese landscaper which is now owned and maintained by the city.
I didn’t get there until about noon on a sunny day and a lot of subjects were too “hot” to shoot. But this dappled area looked like it held some possibilities.
The principal effect I used here was Glamour Glow from NIK Color Efex. I applied it only to the background and mid foreground.
