Sometimes, despite my best efforts, an image doesn’t come out of the camera the way I expected. Focus, ISO and shake are usually the culprit. But if the composition and exposure are good I hate to throw it away. That’s when I’ll try to render it as a painting. I use CS6 Oil Paint and NIK CEF Glamour Glow as my primary “brushes” along with some masking and opacity blending.

Anyway, here’s my interpretation of Mirror Lake on Mount Rainier and a stretch of the Wenatchee River.
