This was taken at 1730 on 9 December 2011 which was the Full Moon the night before a total lunar eclipse the next morning. I didn’t stay up (or get up) for the eclipse as heavy clouds were forecast (and appeared). This was taken from the Alki Point boat launch and was shot at the magic time when the setting sun (behind me) was still high enough to reflect off the buildings but not bright enough to wash out the moon.
